Helpful Hints
I have linked several sources you may need as we progress through ELA this year. I hope you find them useful. Please ask if you have any difficulties with the links or questions about the content of the websites. While you are navigating the world wide web, if you find a resource that you and your classmates would benefit from, please let me know.
Online Writing Lab at Purdue University - a plethora of information available as you proceed through the writing process. Follow the link here.
The Michigan eLibrary - a wealth of information ranging from magazine and newspaper articles to scholarly journals. This site is valuable when researching any topic for a writing project. Follow the link here.
Sparknotes - many of you are already aware of Sparknotes and its place in reading literature. I caution you to only use Sparknotes as a means to confirm what you believe about the literature you are reading or assist in the interpretation of the literature. Sparknotes is not to be used as a substitute for actually reading! Follow the link here.
No Fear Shakespeare - this site is embedded within Sparknotes, but I thought it deserved its own link as again it is a great resource as English 9 reads Romeo and Juliet. Like before, this is not to be a substitute for actually reading and participating while we read Romeo and Juliet. Follow the link here.
